The Registrar, an agent of the Security Token Issuer, which is responsible for registering Investors’ positions on the DLT and for keeping the register of the Security Token holders on behalf of the Issuer, and which carries out also in most cases the role of Settlement Agent, an agent of the Security Token Issuer, which is responsible for handling the cash leg of the Security Token transactions, and the traditional post-trade and asset servicing actors (e.g. custodians, back office/middle office departments, etc.), whose activities will be substantially impacted by the use of DLT.
